My name is Linda, the one-woman staff of a new online service. I have a
simple goal for this site, helping women find other women owned business.
The idea for this came recently while working on another project, needing
quick information that I could not find. I remembered that several years ago
there was a yellow page type directory for Kansas City, but discovered there
is not one now. There are very nice women magazines in most major cities,
too many online to count, so why one more?
Mainly I would use one myself. I am a female business owner so I prefer to
support other women owned business and services. Another important
reason is that I have been looking for affordable ways of marketing my own
sites. I own and promote several online home based businesses and am very
careful what sites I use for advertising. I am always looking for the most
professional websites, no ad sense only sites, no adult sites, etc.
I have thought through what people might need when they are relocating.
One usually has to find a doctor, dentist, etc. I have included some female
professionals in each city as I add it. These are not referral, just a listing.
However I hope this information is helpful to you.
How is Women & Business different?
The goal of this site is to connect women consumers with women friendly
businesses and services. I have found several excellent sites that are
networking sites for businesswomen. I also find hundreds of ads on every
web page I visit, yet I cannot know this is a woman owned business. I would
like to make it easier for ladies to find needed information.
